Rentmeester earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography at the Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles in 1993 and immediately began her career shooting editorial stories for publications, including InStyle, Allure, Vogue, Marie Claire (French, German, and British Editions), Art Forum and Art News.
